Virginia Working Landscapes Premieres New Short Film, Grass Roots

Virginia Working Landscapes (VWL), a program convened by the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute (SCBI), recently premiered their new short documentary film, Grass Roots. The film features VWL scientists as well as the local farms they collaborate with to study and conserve biodiversity on working lands. Dietel and Partners Senior Advisor and Owner of Bean Hollow Grassfed, Mike Sands, is featured in the film.

Grass Roots highlights how research is being used to help guide conservation efforts with local partners through the newly-launched Piedmont Grassland Bird Initiative.
